Garage Door Repair Corpus Christi, TX

corpus christi garage doorWe will take care of any and all necessary repairs and inspections for your home’s system. Many homeowners don’t worry much about the condition of our garage until the day comes when we are in a hurry and we hit the button on our remote and nothing... the door won't open. When an issue occurs, we are forced to address it. But what if the problem could be avoided? If you start hearing unusual sounds or the door is opening or closing slowly, these could be signs your garage door is going to have a major problem shortly.

One of the most common problems we run into are broken springs on the door. After opening and closing over the years, the springs begin to loose their tension and break. When this occurs, give us a call and we will send a technician over, typically same day, to replace your springs and adjust your door so it is working properly once again.

Another problem that can happen is your garage door opener belt or chain failing to engage or giving out entirely. We can also assist you with fixing the issue with a belt or chain, but often times it's time to replace the opener completely with a newer model. Typically garage door openers will last 5 to 8 years depending on how often the garage door is opened and closed. If you suspect you have a garage door opener on the fritz, give us a call as soon as possible. If your garage door opener is going bad it will put more work on the springs as well, lessening their life too.

Yearly garage door maintenance another common practice that is overlooked. By having Corpus Christi Garage Door repair your door yearly, you can avoid future problems. We will look over all the technical aspects of your door, lube the rollers and springs and confirm that the garage door opener is working properly. If you have us out every year for some preventative maintenance, you can rest easy knowing that an emergency call will be avoided.

Another common issue we often service is a garage door that either won’t open, or won’t close. Before doing anything, you should always inspect the floor area around the door.

First, make sure there are not any small objects, spider webs or something else causing the sensor to not work. If your door will open, but not go down, more than likely it could be the garage door sensors. The sensors are located on each side of your door on near the floor mounted near the rails. Typically they will have red laser type lights. Have a look at them and make sure they haven't been knocked or are covered with something.

Sensors can be tricky to align if they have been knocked round too much. If this is the case, give us a call and we will stop by for service. While we are there, we'll make sure that not only are the sensors working correctly, we will examine your entire system.

Many of these common problems can occur independently or together. Our technicians have years of experience repairing and replacing garage doors and openers. If you suspect you have one of these common issues or need garage door repair, give us a call and we will have someone there usually in 24 hours or less.
